“1. Location great; in centre of Kelso AND with car parking. 2. All rooms are excellent in every way; spotless; good size; very very comfortable; very good amenity tray. 3. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. 4. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and is excellent. Lots on cold table also to supplement this. 5. Again, we’ll be back!”

“We have just returned from a marvellous two nights at the Old Priory being looked after by Robin, the owner, so perfectly. The property is exceptional in itself being very old and full of character. It is furnished superbly and in complete tune with the house. We have looked at all of the four bedrooms and all are nothing short of superb. Everything is spotless; the beds are supremely comfortable; the courtesy tray is one of the best we have seen – better than most 5 star hotels”

“A very warm and informative welcome, made you feel special even on a 1 night stay”

The Old Priory is a lovely home, and you get the feeling straight away that you are welcomed into Robin’s family home.

We only had the time to stay one night and we are now planning to include this in our Scottish tour next year. Robin made us very welcome and gave really useful info which we followed about where to have a drink and where to eat. It meant in the few hours we had we didn’t waste any time searching out a restaurant and had the time to relax and wander,

The breakfast room is lovely and as a vegetarian the option of a locally produced veggie breakfast was great. We travelled on motorbike and that was no issue at all wandering in , in all our gear. We had a very lovely time and I could have sat chatting with Robin and his guests drinking coffee all morning if we hadn’t had to leave.

One of the nicest places I’ve stayed in a long time. There’s so many places of interest and natural beauty, Kelso is a great location with a lovely B & B. I’ve already told my Mum she should go. A message for Robin… you were Awesome …

Little piece of heaven falls out the sky and lands in Kelso!”
5 of 5 stars

A fabulous place to stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. The bedrooms are wonderful, large, airy, comfortable, exceptionally clean and wouldn’t appear out of place with some of the smarter country house hotels. Having only a small number of letting rooms added to the feel of exclusivity. Robin was a very generous host, with an instinctive gift for hospitality. His breakfasts are superb and quality ingredients, washed down with plenty of freshly brewed coffee made a great start to the day. I can’t wait to stay there again!
Room Tip: I would be happy to stay in any of the rooms.
